On Friday, March 16, 2012, along with other members of the Order of Canada, St Stephen’s Norma Sealey received the Queen’s Jubilee Medal, presented by the Lieutenant Governor on behalf of the Governor General.

VICTORIA – On Friday, March 16, 2012, at 3:00 p.m., at Government House, His Honour the Honourable Steven Point, Lieutenant Governor of British Columbia, presented the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal to recipients of the Order of Canada who live on Vancouver Island and the Gulf Islands.

This commemorative medal was created to mark the 2012 celebrations of the 60th anniversary of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II’s accession to the Throne as Queen of Canada.

The Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal is a tangible way for Canada to honour Her Majesty for her service to this country.

At the same time, it serves to honour significant contributions and achievements by Canadians.
